Wow, what a week, been really busy at work this week, first chance to check in, I guess that's what happens when you go on vacation for a week (went to Oregon last week to photograph wild mustangs). Finally getting things sorted out here. Got a few new bloomers to post when I get a chance.

Bree, love the vanda, I used to grow great vandas. I need to find a vanda that will grow in my cool conditions. Nice catt too, I sometimes wish I was growing these again, until I see the size of the pots that the catt growers have to drag to the meetings Rolling my eyes.

Jim, nice job all around. That orangey schomberkia hybrid is pretty cool. I am a complete sucker for L. purpuratas and their hybrids, used to have about 20 different clones, now just one or two. Not sure how you get those nobile Dends and Cyms to bloom in FL, nice job! Hurray!

Thanks, Neil. Every orchid variety I've tried has done pretty well for me except Paphs, Phrags, Odontoglossums and Miltonias. I try to stay away from them. Vandas, Catts, Dens, Phals, Oncidiums and Stanhopeas do well here. Perhaps when I finish the lanai conversion and can therefore control the water a little better, I can try Miltonias again.

aaah, anosmum, my favorite Den. I'm guessing mine will not flower this year as a big piece broke off and it does not seem its normal happy self. Sad That is what happens when you try to move these big orchids to the garage every few days. Nice Potinara as well.

Bree, you are doing so well with the floofy Catts. I'll have a lot of catching up to do this summer.

Bree, such a shame your Blc got damaged. Wonderful color, and it will be beautiful next time it blooms.

I am having a hard time with cane dens lately. They either get yellow leaves or just dry up. Any advice? I miss the spring ones.

I should have a drum roll here as the guy from Florida has just bloomed a Paph. I blame it on the cold December but at any rate, I'm thrilled. I have 4 paphs and this is my first bloom in three years. Here is Paph Satchel's Legend. Sorry about the picture but it is a rainy day (we need it) and I ran out between the drops to capture the moment. Perhaps I'll get a better picture in a day or two.
