I was up at daylight Wednesday to spray for deer while there was no wind.
I had seen some tracks.Of course they come before I can see outside.

It is soooooo cold today you'd think we were back in late February/early March. The wind chill must be around 20. I see we have a freeze warning up for early Saturday morning by the Binghamton weather center. I know this will pass but will mother nature please hurry up and push old man winter out of the way....please.

I hear ya Julia. I am trying to move some hostas and eyes tearing and nose running doesnt help.
My gauge says 44 but the wind makes it feel like 20 as you say.Ive been in and out since 7 o'clock and am done.

Tonight will be tough for the lilies and other perennials. I hope its cloudy or we have a wind.

Are your eyes tearing from joy or sadness. Rolling my eyes.
All kidding aside, I do know what it is like having the cold north wind whip your face so tears stream down your face. Today, I skipped doing a walkabout in the garden and decided it was best to just stay inside and look out the windows and dream of warmer days.

Tears drop onto my glasses when I bend over. Its just not worth it to garden in the cold.
Last nights temps reached 31 here. Still too cold for plants.
Its not daylight yet so I cant see the damage.

This morning we have another round of frost. Goodness, will this ever end and we can have a spring? Shrug!

Went down to -6C (21F) last night. Even though everything was covered they all have that dark green watery look to them. My entire garden looks lost. Crying

2 nights last week in the upper 20's, mid twenties further west. No damage noticeable. One just nosed up, some others 12" or more.
