I had the usual white with pink edge and the yellow with pink edge but recently I saw an almost dayglo pink one. So the hybridizers are having some fun. I received a bonus called IAB 'FANGtastic' but it hasn't bloomed yet. Right now I have 2 in bud but I can't remember what they were tagged (in bed with my DBF's iPad).

Pot. William Farrel X Schomb. gloriosa is gorgeous. Can't wait to see it fully opened!!
This Cym. Maureen Carter is opening. The petals are weird shaped but the color is pleasing. Not enough light I'd say.

Georgeous, Bree. I love the red and green.

Lindsey, I removed the orchid from the palm during cold nights and took it into the garage. The bottle palm, also tender to the cold, is in half a whiskey barrel that rests on a piece of plywood with wheels on the bottom. I just roll it into the covered area of the lanai by the sliding glass doors that go into the house and cover it with a blanket. It is not happy at times but always survives.

My Alma kee is more like yellow with a purple throat, but it does look green in that pic. More photos to come. I was wondering if its ment to have a red throat or purple? Its a pretty well know flower.

Jim, that has to be worth something getting the Lanai covered!! Leaving this nice Orchid in place - it will surely permanently attach to the Palm.

Kathy, the "Cym Formosa Fairy" is sweet, whatever it turns out to be. Did I mention that I like the Laski?

Heh, major floof alert for Bree!! Gotta smell pretty too!! Thumbs up

Good point, Ursula. Brassavola David Sander has already attached itself to the barrel and won't let go.

We got the same April Fools weather here. I went to town and the driveway was clear, came back 2 hours (exactly) and there was 16.5 centimeter or 7 inches of accumulation of heavy snow, the most I have seen in such a short time.

Great looking plants Jim, I really like the fluorescent catt in the bottle palm.

You have some eye popping floof on display there Bree.

Very nice show Kathy, the Ascda Laski is fabulous and Sarcochilus Elizabeth 'Red Delight' really draws your attention with its beautiful markings.

Ursula, you have a lot of beauties showing their best side, the white catt is gorgeous and the pretty Ascocentrum garayi reminds me of cluster of orange hyacinths one might see this time of year, very striking.

Doritaenopsis Summerfield Rose 'Bedford', HCC/AOS x Phal. Brother Purple 'Brother', this is the first bloom for this seedling that I received a while back when I ordered a bunch of phal seedling from Bedford Orchids. The seedling were ordered with the intention of getting a phal bloom close to true red. No luck with the first one but the 4 inch bloom is huge compared to plant with largest leaf of on 4 inches in length.

Thanks Ken and Kathy.
I like the shape on your Dtps hybrid, and the color is still pretty. Perhaps the others will bloom out red (der) for you. We saw some amazing color shades and new patterns on Phals at the SEPOS last month. There is a lot of breeding going on.
