Baja California certainly gets my attention, especially
since it is a large flower. Also like Pirate Moon.

Dot, I thought it would be more ORANGE, too with bright red edges. I'm betting it will settle in and be beautiful later or next year. It's still a great one.

I have scapes on Baja California, but I'm quite aways off from blooms. I like yours, but hopefully it will be more like Dan's photo eventually. He's usually good at having pretty acurate photos. It may just need to settle in.

Sure would love to try some of Nicole's daylilies but don't know how they would do up here in the north. Our winters have been getting milder so maybe they would do alright.

Cindy, you could ask her if she has customers up your way and how they've done, or she might be testing them with someone. I test mine in PA.

I think that there is someone on the LA from Michigan that has been selling some of hers. I could email them and ask about hardiness.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. I try to post pictures that I would like to see myself. I took more pictures than I am posting, due to my picky standards of picture taking lol.

Three of my favorite oranges are blooming today. My other favorite from Trimmer hasn't bloomed yet, Parrots of the Caribbean.

Dot

Another big flower on Port Orange

Two more big flowers on Baja California, I finally got the right color after going out twice to take pictures. It was very overcast this morning and the pictures just weren't right. I waited until the sun started peeking out and went out. The sun was bright and when a cloud would come along I would snap a picture, thus giving me the right color. Whew.

Best Edge has such a pretty soft color and an enormous edge.

Baja is getting better and better - great edge.

I tried to give you some Best Edge when we were trading LOL I have four fans now. Parrots of the Caribbean is crowding it out of the pot, it is going to have to be moved out this year or next spring. I will send you some then.

Dot, if you want to sell a fan of Best Edge later this year, please let me know. Of course, it would be wonderful to be able to get a fan of Parrots of the Caribbean since you will be taking the other from the pot Whistling Whistling Whistling

I know that you and Ann make very special trades and I truly understand if you don't have enough to sell. I try to live by the motto, that it doesn't hurt to ask, hope you don't mind???

Mona lol,,

If you only knew how much I hate to dig daylilies. Best Edge is still selling for a lot on the auction so I will keep it unless Ann wants a fan, but that would probably be next spring. She and I trade in the spring, fall arrivals don't do so well for me. She and I buy new intros and if we buy different ones then we trade some. But we end up a lot of the time buying the same ones. I will see how much I have of it next spring. Thanks for understanding.

It's great Dot. I totally understand. I'd would never ask if I thought you would be bothered by saying no. That's why I felt comfortable asking. I think in the short time I've been here that I know some of you pretty good because I see myself in ya'll. I love your plants and so enjoy seeing them on here.
