Starting off the new thread with Trichopilia Suave Margins. I bought the plant years ago from Santa Barbara Orchids and I always enjoy its fairly long blooming season, in some years the plant continuous to bud right into early June.

I posted the other day my Polystachya paniculata into the anticipation thread. Here it is now partially open with tons of tiny blooms.

Carol, Trichopilias are not hard to grow. I only have to watch out that the plant is really well ventilated and not too shady when new growth appears, or the tender growth might rot. Ever since I watch out for that, I do ok. with them.
The Polystachya came from Cal-Orchids, I was surprised to see it budding without much ado.

I think I need to rethink Trichopilias then. My first one rotted. I saw an all white one yesterday at the Amherst Orchid Society meeting. Nice.

Hey I'm going to my birthplace tomorrow to the NYBG Show!!!!! Three of us are going down and we are meeting a friend I've known since 4th grade!!! Needless to say, I'll bring my camera! YES!!

I am also VERY pleased to have changed my RO filters tonight thanks to my DBF's support! I've been stalling all weekend because I dread doing it. But with his help, it was a breeze this time. So happy to have it done. I bet my Disa will be way pleased!

I did spot one new bloom while looking in the bushes. Oncidium psychopsis has put out two blooms on the same spike.
