I really wanted to grow yellow 4 o'clocks this year, but the seeds I bought just don't seem to want to grow. The other colors are growing fine for me, but no luck with the yellow ones. And I'm having trouble finding seeds online without paying astronomical shipping costs. Anyone have any they've collected off their own plants?

I'll check my "misc" tub but the only Four o'Clock my lists show is hot pink.

"Mirabilis", right? Like Mirabilis jalapa?

Understood. I may also have some “Broken Colors” from Gitgagal, and those would alsol be unsuitable.

"Broken Colors?" Ooooh, those are on my list of wants, too. But I'm just a little too cheap to buy them. Hilarious! Heh heh, been spending too much on other goodies. Things are so far out of control that I may need to order more 4" pots, too. Rolling my eyes.

I think I'm out of 4" pots, too. I think I should have more, but can't find any in my mess of stuff.

Ha, I thought mine were just lost, too, but then I started counting what I'd already used......oops! Heh, heh, no wonder I'm running out of space in the GH. *Blush* 34 trays, not counting the ones that still have 4-packs in them....

I haunt Home Depot around the end of the season. They throw away / give away empty pots and web trays.

My favorite nearby nursery used to have a bin of discarded pots - many gallon-size or larger - but they went out of business.

Woofie, if you TreeMail your address to me, you'll get some of these, thanks to GitaGal.

4'OClocks “Broken Colors” (Mirabilis?)
[Perennial Zone 7] grown as Annuals reseeds
36” apart in full sun

Also please take a look at my Asian trade list: I actively proselytize Asian greens / Brassicas. I have what would be a 20-year supply for just myself, and still buy anything new to me, so please help me share them around.

You might also peek at my other trade list, I have some varfiety of tomatoes and flowers. OLf those, I especially proselytize Alyssum and "my" light blue-purple giantg Delphinium.

I'd love to have them, but aren't you going to grow them yourself? They are so pretty! Stuff one in a big pot and surround it with some of that alyssum (I LOVE alyssum!) and maybe a little blue lobelia....it would look great!

GitaGal sent plenty for us both! Also, this year, I'll be lucky if I get my minimum basic favorites started, If I get it togetehr to go beyond those, I have many other ambitions to get to, first.
