Not yet! I haven't found the time to even look for an ID. We really need more than 24 hours in a day...seriously!

A very toasty 1st of June today!

Found this very orange dragonfly on one of my plant stakes:

Wow! That's pretty! There's few dragonflies around here and mostly they have black on their wings, but I HAVE seen other colors.

Yeah..I was surprised to see that one! Very bright..as if like a traffic hazard color

Very beautiful! Today, I encountered a really humongous grasshopper. It got away quickly when I tried to get close enough for a shot of it. Whew! Glad that wasn't on my place! Later, I spotted this much smaller one on a bridge. Poor thing was missing a leg, so its ability to get away was limited. We really could use some rain here...it's been almost a month.

We are on the same boat..no rain here either and even hotter forecast going into triple digit by this coming weekend...

In the meantime..I found our resident black widow..I thought it was gone already, have not seen this one for quite awhile..



And I think it has company, seeing just the legs on the left side of the photo..


I've been at loggerheads with ants today..appearing suddenly in our kitchen!

I forgot I had posted this. I started writing 'Pretty, Tarev' about the orange dragonfly when my keyboard went wonky and deserted me for a few days. When I got to the Ta in Tarev, it kept on and on without me, Taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I decided to stop while I was ahead.

What I was going to say is that the little green bug in the photo lives on that red daylily. Every picture of every bloom has the little green thing in it. I was just out there this morning which reminded me of this post, and there he was on the next bloom. I only see one at a time and he's sure not trying to hide. He glows against the red.

It's the only plant I see him on, but I have no idea what he is. He just goes from bloom to bloom every day. Must be very happy.

And I love that orange dragonfly.
And this brand new keyboard works just fine now

The little green bug on the red lily looks like a katydid..similar to the one I have on my Gaillardia (see my posting on 30May)..they must love new blooms

I' m not sure, Tarev, might be a very young katydid.

I have a bunch of mad bumble bees today. Apparently they have a nest inground in along my patio and a racoon must have come along last night and dug it up or at least tried. Now there are a lot of bumble bees buzzing around that area. Usually bumble bees are docile but these are really upset and buzzing around looking for a fight.
