This must be the season of green orchids. I found my Ctsm Crown Fox Voodoo blooming out in the bushes this morning so I brought it up to take a few pictures.

Another look at Milt. Bert Fields 'Leash'. I am finding out that this orchid does not like the sunshine one bit. Even late afternoon sun causes it to wilt. It is now safely placed in a shady spot and will stay there.

Perhaps you recall the repotting special orchid I bought from Jim Krull in Apopka. If not, here is a picture of the orchid I found there:

Well, I repotted it and the single bloom it had has opened. This is what Lc Prism Palette X (Gaiety Flambeau X MECarter) X walkeriana turned out to be:

I agree Both very nice!
I've fried a few of the Onc. alliance before moving them to the shade! They seem to be very picky about the amount of light they want.

Ohhh, gotta love the Cyp Michael! Pretty little Bletilla!

Jim, good job repotting! Thumbs up looks good! I love the Catasetum, Lovey dubby I have given up anything which needs to look like a stick for some months. I just can't grow them.
The Coelogyne blooms are gorgeous. Any scent? I moved my Burfordiense outside today, they are in bud, I am happy they made it nicely through the Winter!!
And did I mention that I adore your digbyana?

BTW, there are several more Cyps growing but for some reason Michael (a new one last year) is way ahead. Its on the acaule schedule. I'll have to look into its parentage.

The digbyana's fringy lip is used in breeding for years and shows up in many orchids with fringy or unusual lip shapes. I usually guess right when I see them that digbyana is in the background.

It could take full sun at your latitude. The leaves on the mother plant are mostly purple.
