Thanks Leslie - The purple, lavender are always nice to look at, my problem is i like the dark purples and they don't like 110 deg temps...IOU an E-mail

Thanks Margaret!

Thanks Michele – That seedling is my earliest bloom, it is always the first to bloom and any seedling blooming with it is tagged EE…

Thanks Steph – I have used AS last season and should have some seedlings this year…

Leslie, Cindy – A gardener is only allowed to care for the garden not sit and enjoy it ….

Leslie, this is the seedling I mentioned that is about 80% poly..

Beautiful! I love the oranges, Lyle. How do the more intensely colored ones hold up in the heat? So far I'm very impressed with my PORT ORANGE -- the color is consistent even on really hot days!

Those seedlings are all beautiful. Love those deep green throats with the orange. Such a contrast.

I just took this photo the temp is 92 deg in Phoenix now the seedling is in full sun. I encourage others to have those posting on this site to show scapes and how there seedlings or daylilies look in full sun at 92deg ...NOT JUST A FACE SHOT!

Bloom it out please and may I buy some?

I do like your oranges and that's unusual for me. The color is intense. Do you have Tequila Mockingbird or Fox Hunter? I can send you those. Also, Nan Ripley donated Supreme Scream to the school and since I'm babysitting their plants in June I can make crosses for you using it. Here's Nan's Pic.

You can have it - I will send it with your other plants in the fall.

The orange seedlings from this cross, all have excellent scapes and one is a 20 first bloom bud count..

Purple is my favorite color however I realized last year I tend not to buy purple daylilies to often and I don't know why. But I also realized I have a lot more oranges than I thought I would. The bright oranges are my fav but I am drawn to the soft pastel oranges like FIJI also.

I haven't seen Apache Sunrise bloom in person yet (not sure if James has it still) but your photo of it looks great.

Oh Leslie, when it blooms please take a photo of Supreme Scream (of course you will) because I kept eye-balling that one last year but never got it.

OK

It doesn't look like any of my own intro's are going to bloom this year 'cause they got lined out late too. Wouldn't you know DH was cleaning out the basement and unplugged the mini fridge where I had all my pollen frozen. EEK

Your oranges just glow Lyle! I have always been drawn to reds, but just in the past couple of years have been searching for more oranges and purples - the dark bold ones, of course.

And Leslie- that's rough. Bummer ~Jan

I love oranges as well. Love yours!
They look great in a tapestry garden, with burgandies, golds and even reds!

Have a few intros of oranges - 2 below
