Two bloomed today, both planted in 2010, which means I don't really know what they are. Hilarious!

Actually, this one is either Pandora's Box or Moonlit Masquerade (mega thanks to the wizard who posted about using portrait mode for DOF)

The other is a NOID I got from a lady I met in the Lowes parking lot who needed help thinning out her daylilies. Brought home a TON from her yard, but couldn't tell you what any of them are. She told me at the time, but we didn't write anything down, and didn't mark any of them, just dumped them all in my car.

Moonlit Masquerade is my earliest bloomer. I don't have Pandora's Box,
but from that photo I think it may be Pandora's Box if it is also an early
bloomer. Nice photos too.

I wish the portrait mode worked like that on my camera, but it doesn't blur the background. I have to use the AV mode and change the light to spot and then hope it blurs it, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't Shrug!

The first one does look like Pandora's Box. So glad you are beginning to see blooms. You will see lots more blooms because I know you got some at a club meeting and maybe some from Doris.

Still have Pandora's Box in my garden. It was one of the first daylilies I purchased many, many years ago. It's a great performer.

Pandora's looking great today, and I have buds on lots of different plants, including some I know the names of Thumbs up

But this one bloomed today for the first time this season, and took my breath away. It's either a NOID from the nice lady who shared DLs from her yard with me, or it's one of the following: Buffy's Doll, Minstrel Boy, Merlot Rouge,or Rosey Returns. I don't think it's RR, because my scribbles on the back of an envelope show that planted in a different spot Hilarious! and I think it's too bright to be Buffy's Doll. Sure wish I could find the other envelope I scribbled on, cause that would tell me.

Whatever it is, it gave me a much-needed smile, and that's really all that matters.

I looked them up and would vote for Merlot Rouge which is a double, the right color and has a creped texture.

Mary,
I'm going to post a thread comparing the different types of doubles vs polys. Check it out for more info.

Am dog-sitting for friends this weekend, so haven't been home since Thursday evening. Came home this morning to do some stuff here, grab yesterday's mail, etc, and saw this as I pulled into the driveway.

Right now, it's a NOID, planted in the section of DLs I got from Lowe's a year or so ago. I seriously don't remember buying any that dark... closest I can come by looking at plastic cards that came with the plants is maybe Minstrel Boy.
Thumb of 2012-05-19/fiwit/522963

Now, THIS ONE, I know the name of. This is Alaskan Midnight, and came to me from Doris. It was my "thanks for joining NWGDS" free daylily.

Thumb of 2012-05-19/fiwit/becece

Doris also gave me a nice clump of Web of Intrigue when I spent the day with her last March. It's blooming today, too.
