Unfortunately, not long. Wish I could bottle the scent.

Lindsey, before you put L. dowiana on your list, I gotta tell you, after 4 days, it's drooping. Bummer!
On the other hand Encyclia lancefolia is still going strong and smelling great after a monthThumb of 2011-07-07/ctcarol/e0d87f

Me too! Hilarious! I wasn't worried about that one though. I got it from SBOE, so not much shipping stress. It's potted in it's fourth pot...from 3" to 6". I think I'll stick with their method as repotting seems to set them back. The C. dowiana is in gravel, so that will require a learning curve, as to watering. I look at C. dowiana the same way I look at Epis, short bloom, but so worth the wait.

I've been working hard to get a Stanhopea oculata pic of just one bloom. This is the best I could do and I'll throw in another group shot as well.

It's funny isn't it how some flowers look fabulous for months..and others are so fleeting?
Carol,L. pacavia is another wonderful one...you've got some knock outs in your collection!

Blc. Keowee 'Newberry' just opened and looking at Blc. Keowee 'Mendenhall' AM/AOS side by side, I don't see much difference in the 2
am I missing something or is it really subtle...or is one of the plants mislabled?

The third bloom is out on Brassavola David Sander. Two more coming. I couldn't decide which one of these photos was best so here's both.

Lindsey, it surely is not mislabeled, there might be a very faint difference....

Beautiful, Jim! All three of them!

Carol, how long does 'Pinky' last? It sure is pretty.
