Mine look exactly like that right now and just this week started buds. I expect them to start blooming anytime.

I don't think it will be long Maridell but you are in a much colder zone than us Whistling

We've got at least 24 hours of torrential rains heading this way so I expect they will pout for a bit.

I need to take some pictures of my purslane, but my new camera won't get here until next week. Then I'll probably use it a LOT...if I can figure out how to use it!

These are my portulaca seedlings. They look like yours, but I cannot be positive.

I think they are portulaca, Carolyn. Vicki, look closer at the larger one in the photo. Maridells are 100% portulaca. They will take off when it warms up a little more.

I should have flowers soon! Smiling Question: I pulled a few of the plants about a week ago just because it is so congested...should I pull more?

I also have a mystery plant/weed. Any ideas what it is? I have never planted anything like it.

I have no idea what they mystery plant is.

As for thinning, I personally don't because the portulaca for me is like a ground cover.

You will be bursting in color soon! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

I think I'll post the mystery over in ID.

I'm just concerned how thick the little plants are. There definately won't be no ground showing!

It looks a little thick to me...but I'm no expert. I have 4 plants in a big container, and I planted the plants about 6-8" apart in the garden. Both of those give me good coverage.

Nice...looks like moss rose on the seedlings. I wonder which colors returned for you? I don't know on the other plant either...might be going to bloom soon, so that should help.

I'll be intrested to see too. The original batch also had some bi-color but not much so it will be wishful thinking to see them again.
