In my opinion the picture of the Lychnis viscaria in the Plant Database is wrong. I uploaded 2 pictures from what I think is the Lychnis viscaria.
Please tell me if I'm wrong.

The plant in question is here: German Catchfly (Viscaria vulgaris)

The photo in question is here:

Your's are definitely Lychnis viscaria and should be uploaded to that plant with confidence.

zuzu's photo's caption says it's a blue variety. The foliage and habit do match the species, it's just the color that's different. I'm not sure if it's in error or not.

Jonna is absolutely correct. My photo is in the wrong place. It's those common names that trip us all up at times. German Catchfly applies to so many. My photo is of a plant from Annie's Annuals, which was previously called Lychnis viscaria by Annie's but is now carried on the site as Viscara oculata. This name is also dubious, however, because it's now thought to be a synonym of Silene coeli-rosa, so I'll move my photo to S. coeli-rosa.

Zuzu, thank you for your understanding. I always find it hard to mention that I think someone made a mistake.
But I now know you're like me: being glad that someone tells you you made a mistake.

Absolutely, Jonna. Accuracy's so important, especially in a database like this one. Smiling

I agree That's why it will be the best plant database in the world. Because we are all willing to research and make corrections when necessary. Thumbs up
