Just a few new hybrids blooming today. Looks like I'm getting a few at a time and that's just fine for now. I'm having trouble getting in the swing of the season so I'm proud they are slowly blooming. Oh yes, I checked last years photos and I'm a full month ahead of some of the plants blooming. One unknown that's blooming today, that hasn't been moved, bloomed June 15, 2011.

I hate composting seedlings too and it does not good because they don't die. Last fall I was digging out seedlings and left some on the top of the ground, roots exposed all winter, and they are alive. Tough little things aren't they.

Very nice. Your New Paradigm has deeper coloring than mine, which was new last year. It hasn't bloomed this year -hoping for improved coloring. If Terry Lyninger were a tet you could cross it with New Paradigm and maybe get some nice patterns.

Thanks Stephanie, so much. I grab my cup of coffee and head out the door every morning. It's so much fun. I felt truly blessed today. Especially with the 2 orange ones. I'm in an orange year, and I just love them.

Fred may be able to tell you, so in case he doesn't read this you may want to tree mail him. I know the ones James' uses we get at a supply company that we get our fertilizer and stuff from.
You can get them at of it at Lowes in a pack of 100 and I have seen the spools of it at Home Depot and I think walmart, maybe Lowes as well. The spools aren't always in the garden section so you may have to ask about them.

I found a websit that has the boxes of twist ties
http://www.novoselenterprises....

Go to Amazon and search garden twist ties or plastic twist ties, there are several on there.

Mona,

You were talking about delivery confirmation etc. and mailing packages on Kim's post. I had some advice for you, but I thought you might not see it over there, so I'm copying and pasting it here.

If you are going to be shipping a lot of things, go to USPS.com and sign up. You can print out your postage, attach it to the boxes and then ask for carrier pickup, all online. When you print your postage there, you get free delivery confirmation, and ALSO you can click the little box for email notification. In other words, when your package is delivered you get an email as well. It is SOOO easy. No going to the post office, waiting in line, then paying more plus paying for delivery confirmation. The only problem is this, your regular postman is out sick, you get a new mail person, she takes the package pickup notice ( the paper they have that tells them to pickup), puts the notice in your mailbox and drives off. You are too slow to get to the door in time and off she goes down the street, leaving your six boxes sitting on the porch. I was SOOO mad, I finally got the right phone number for the post office and called them. She came back later looking really dumb. Asking, which copy do I keep? What do they teach them, nothing??? Anyway, other than that one time, everything is easy.

You need a scale to weigh your packages in order to print your postage from home and have the mail person pick up the packages. I don't have a scale so I have to go to the P O every time I mail a package.

I bought this one last year. It is on Amazon for sale at $22.00, 75lb capacity and small footprint. Can use an adapter for wall outlets, but also operates off battery if you need to take the unit to the product.

I bought my scale at Sam's club. They have them at any office supply place, I think,. They aren't expensive, or mine was only $20. It's nearly 10 years old and I've been expecting it to die anytime because the battery isn't replaceable. It's been worth the $20 in postage saved by not putting 2 stamps on a letter when it only needs one.

Thanks everyone for all the advise. I'm like most folks, I need to save every penny I can and all help is greatly appreciated. It's like asking about the twist ties, I had no idea where to get them. I have kept everyone I ever got and hung them in the Greenhouse on a basket. I've learned to use them when making pictures and a scape just will not coperate with me, I can easly put a tie on it to hold it in place. I use a little metal stake purchase years ago at Walmart to hold it upright with the tie. I'll need them to hold the labels when I start shipping.

Thanks again everyone and please, continue with advise. I'm like a sponge, I soak it up by the bottle full Smiling Mona
