I use colored paper clips too, have for years. I use large for tets and small for dips. It's so simple.

All great ideas, I like the digital recorder idea. It sounds like it would be much more efficient/easier than trying to write things down on the fly.

Laura, it has been a lifesaver for me. Mine is an Olympus that I got at Sam's Club for $70 about 5 years ago. I just searched on them and you can get several different kinds now for less than $50. It's the greatest thing. I'd replace mine immediately if it broke. I do suggest getting a headset and mic for one. Be sure it has input and output jacks for the headsets. I think I got my little mic/earbud thing for around $5. I remember thinking if I liked using one, I could always get a better one. the cheap one works great, so why replace it? I just walk around talking into mine. It's sure does beat the old totting the notebook around thing. I still write everything in my notebook everyday. I do this at night or even when I take a break during the day. I like having the notebook for reference.

Oh, I forgot one thing. It's a cake that my precious daughter-in-law made me for Mother's Day. She couldn't remember the name of the flower so she couldn't look it up on line but she did remember what it looked like. She also remembered it was my favorite!

The cake was a double chocolate coffee with cream cheese and white chocolate icing, all made from scratch!!! Yes, it was wonderful!!

Debra, She actually looked at me and said that the basketweave was EASY to do! Smiling I can only imagine. She's self taught and I always have an easy gift for her, anything to cook with! My son and her 3 babies all love all the "experiments". Oh, they have another one due in September. I think they would have another if the doctor would say ok, but shes a cecearian(sp?) delivery so he has said no more.
