I was interested in Stephens comment about Chlorophytum orchidastrum. That may be my unknown plant. Here are 3 pics of it, what do you guys think? How odd that it would be a spider plant, I was looking for bromeliads or something like that to ID it.

You can see a rather insignificant bloom in the 2nd pic. Sorry about the shadows, I had to run out and take some pictures and it wasn't the best time.

High I have Chlorophytum orchidastrum Fire Flash and it is a very easy plant. Not many people know it is in the Spiderplant family.

Your plant does not look like it has a lot of orange or any at all. Is it the picture or is it really all green?

Partly it is the bad picture but also it is the plant. It has less orange than when I got it, I'm not sure why. The ribs of new leaves come out very orange and fade as they get older. It is in the ground in a mostly shady spot, you can see the caladiums do well there. Do you think I should move it for more sun?

Maybe it needs more sun. Mine is as you see is grown in a pot because it would not survive outside. I have it in morning sun afternoon shade. More shade and the leaves burn. My leaves stay bright orange.

hmmm... I have an empty spot right now that gets only a few hours of afternoon sun. I may try moving it there. Thank you.
