zone 8 north central Florida. Photo taken in April. Growing in mostly shade with lots of light under oaks. No sign of blooms yet.

It looks like White Snakeroot (Ageratina altissima) or a related species, but it is impossible to say for certain without the flowers.

Okay, thanks Kent. I will check out the Ageratina altissima to see if I can get any hints of more things to look for & I will wait for blooms.
