Hello, Sharon!
Your Bengal Tiger is pretty! I do ask, is it blooming right now, or was this taken in about April, May of this year? I checked the database, and Bengal Tiger isn't listed as a rebloomer, but that doesn't mean it isn't. There may very well be not enough evidence of a rebloom for the cultivar for 'rebloom' to be included in the section for Bengal Tiger.

Depending on your soil and light conditions, and several other things, you may have hit a jackpot where your transplant 'explodes' with increases - or, maybe it is the nature of the cultivar.
Either way, you have a cultivar that produced increases rapidly! That's good to see.

Also, from what I see, it looks like this cultivar had two, maybe three bloomstalks from the same rhizome. That's pretty rare and incredible! Hurray!

I am sure more folks here will be able to key you in on more know how. I am not very experienced yet. Good luck!
TB 'Starting Fresh' blooming for me in May of 2022. It bloomed for a week and a half with nine buds.

Sharon ~ First of all, I would like to Welcome! you to the Irises Forum!

So you planted the iris this August 2018? Or 2017?

Maybe someone with a little more experience with this iris might chime in.

I've been growing Bengal Tiger for years, but it has never performed for me like that. I think you are very lucky! For me it just grows at an unexceptional rate and blooms once a year in the spring. I didn't even realize it was a rebloomer. For me, it's been a nice reliable bloomer, but that's all. Glad it's been spectacular you!

Mine has been like AndreaD, it has been a vigorous grower and blooms heavily in the spring, but I have never had rebloom. I have, once or twice, had a new plant bloom in the fall that was not listed as a rebloomer. It was only that 1st year, i assumed they were confused in their move. If I remember right, they did come from very different zones.

There are actually quite a few irises that "rebloom", that are not registered as such.....and I'm pretty sure there are some "registered" to rebloom, that really don't Sticking tongue out ! If you are interested in reblooming iris, check out the Reblooming iris Society....send in your "rebloom reports", and purchase the "Reblooming Iris Recorder"(either disc, or book form).
