I apologize for being absent for so long. There was a prolonged illness and death in the family. I was the caregiver. We can try to get this going again. I'm sure there must be new folks who have signed up at ATP who might like to chat about Tennessee gardening.

Sorry to hear about your death in your family I hope everything is ok.

Thank you, Heath. My DH and I were married for 47 years so the adjustment is a difficult one.

I work part time at Davids nursery in seymour and full time for the city of pigeon forge

Hey, Carole. I am fine. As usual, still staying busy with all my plants. Did you see what I had built over the fall?

@SongofJoy. We sell a lot of wholesale but we are retail.

@drdawg. We don't really specialize in any certain plant. We sell a lot of b&b trees as well as potted trees and shrubs. We also sell perennials and annuals. We start most of our annuals and vegetables by seeds and cuttings. We also sell fresh local produce in the summer and Nutrena live stock feed which keeps the lights on in the winter.

@Ken, I don't think I saw what you built over the fall. Please point me in the right direction.

@Heath. I love fresh local produce. We have a good Farmers' Market here every Saturday from May through October. I just wish it was more often.

If that's not the right link, the pictures of the solarium building project was in the Orchids forum and the thread was "sunroom". There are other (later) pictures, but there are plenty of postings on that sunroom thread.

That was the correct link. What a gorgeous sunroom. Quite a project but I can see it was well worth it.

I cannot begin to tell you how happy my wife and I are with the solarium. I called it a "sunroom" until it passed a certain price-point. Then it became a "solarium".

I get that. Well done whatever you call it, but you're right, sunroom doesn't quite capture it.

I guess I could just call it the "S" room.

More like the Grand Solarium.
