I *think* I saw this in a magazine a few years ago referred to as Dancing Rebecca. Can't find the mag to be sure or check the proper name

Penstemon digitalis it is. It occurs far outside its natural range now because it is a popular garden flower (especially the 'Huskers Red' cultivar) and easily escapes from cultivation.
