Petals are familiar but not the lip color. A beauty for sure! Well at least you enjoyed it in bloom. I hate when I lose one I never got to bloom! Then again I hate losing any period! This thread is cheaper than therapy!

Losing a nice plant always hurts!
Kathy, is the Den moniliforme truly dead or just resting? No, it's not as in the Monty Python Parrot sketch, Whistling I am serious. Some of mine don't look so hot after the Winter, they pick up in the coming months. ( I do hope)

I had one plant years ago that died, I set it on the back stairs ,no light no water for months, before I got
around to cleaning out the pots that had accumulated there. Imagine my surprise to see it growing...I
brought it back in the house and killed it again...that time it went in the trash! Whistling

Doritis pulcherrima, as identified by Kathy. I had a couple plants and they all burned up in the greenhouse fire.

OK, I am pretty sure that I killed my first orchid. The Sedirea japonica. It seemed very happy for awhile and even spiked, but it went downhill fast after that. Too much sun seems to be the problem. Crying Crying

Kathy, you had on one of these threads an excellent article..I think from the AOS..about getting
too many plants , to the point that some/all suffered... It was really a great article..and I wish I
could find it again..but today, I went through my extensive Phal . collection and culled about 6 NOIDs
that were not fabulous, probably would never be fabulous and were just taking up space...and I dumped
them in the trash! What a wonderful feeling...almost as wonderful as acquiring new plants! Whistling
