I still don't toss live plants but if they die, it's okay.

I have tossed live plants which looked crummy, never improved/grew properly for me and wouldn't bloom. ( Cycnoches, Catasetum for sure and others) I rather give the room to something nice and blooming.

I've tossed Phals before, I tend to buy cheap NOIDS then realize I don't really want them that much

Used to do that too. Not so much anymore.
