Oh, a banana! Definitely nutritious for people and for plants. I still put a banana peel and sometimes a whole banana at the bottom of my planting holes.

Mushrooms are packed with Vitamin D. I owe my sunny disposition to sunshine, milk, and mushrooms. Smiling

YAY!!! Someone got it!! It's an extreme closeup of a nanner!!! The whole thing is edible, even the skin. 3 colors: green, yellow, black. You can cook nanners (Banana nut bread, anyone?) and raw, nanners are natural, not a man-made item, and you can find it in most people's kitchens & year 'round in grocery stores. Plus they're YELLOW!!!

Mine is one of the few houses where they're NOT found! I only eat them occasionally, and for some reason DH despises them and anything to do with them (he's an oddity for sure). I do buy them when I know I'm going to put roses in the ground though! Hurray!

I guess I haven't spent as much time with my head in a shark's mouth as you have, porkpal, I'd never have been able to make that guess.

I am fond of banana bread. It's the perfect way to use up four over-ripe bananas at a time - assuming one is not in the middle of planting roses. I don't eat raw bananas much.

I agree that mushrooms are good nutrition. Besides vitamin D they are a good source of many B vitamins. In a good week I might consume a pound of mushrooms, but I guess that's not quite enough. I'm still a curmudgeon.
