they continually split to reveal new leaves, not just when they flower. The flower buds just come out from the split.

This is my pair that was outside all winter. I was worried when I know it got tons of rain blown on it last week (we had 5" of rain!!!) It's under a roof, but I know the wind was HOWLING. Still firm, though starting to look etiolated. Not sure the spot it's in has enough sun/as much sun as before (a few hours of direct, late afternoon.

Well, right after taking my photo I examined the "royal blush" (in cute little blue pot) and the leaves looked fine but actually were smooshy...and came off the plant right away - rotted...the green one still looks fine, but I think I'm finished growing these plants Thumbs down I think Seattle is just too damp and cool for them and I can't deal with the fussing
Bree your blooms and plants look great!!! Thumbs up Thumbs up I'm going for all hardy succulents (have I mentioned that before! Hilarious! ) I tip my hat to you. I just bought a bergeranthus, which looks to me similar to a haworthia but it has all these blooms on it, and its good down to zone 4! Perfect!! Thumbs up
