We have had a few warm nights with temps above 40*
This makes me chomp at the bit to start putting my plants in the deck containers.
I just have no patience.
Maybe next week.
Jo Ann, We had such a nice day yesterday I planted a few containers. Well by evening the north wind is blowing. We shall see. I do know better, Memorial day is really the time to plant here. Just could not wait!!
Its the tropicals I use that worries me. I am due 2 shipments next week. Its a good thing or I would be out there too early again and then run in and out to cover things at night.
The coleus just die when its under 50* at night.

We are already hitting 90's during the day so container planting time is in full swing already. But then again, too hot for new transplants..luckily I am transplanting succulents.
I am drooling over that photo Jo Ann.
It appears to be one of the Kalanchoe 'Flap Jack' plants. I have one and love it. It think there is more than one variety of them though.
I just finished with containers for this season. Now to sit back and watch the plants fill out.
I had never used fusias in containers. I hope its not too sunny where I have them.
