I talked with another contractor today. I don't think his idea is as robust as the first but he is talking between 25 to 30 thousand for the job. You would think for that I would get girls in hoola skirts to fan the orchids 24/7. Hilarious!

Yes, if he comes up with a competitive price. So far I have no estimate from him.

Today was moving day! After a rough start...somehow the faucet on our whirlpool tub got
nudged last night...cat..dog? and the tub filled completely up with ice cold water. The Phals.
that had been calling that home had floated out of their pots, what a colossal mess Thumbs down
Once I got that all cleaned up and everyone back in a pot I was able to move the collection out
side , across the patio to their new home. Hurray!

So nice, I'm all colors of envy right now, not just GREEN! The only place we have for our orchids right now is what I call the Orchid Case, and it is over flowing with Phalaenopsis.

That Phalaenopsis had 13 flowers on it if I remember right. Unfortunately, all of these are NOIDs.

I sure hope the plants survive their cold bath too, Lindsey. But, I think that Phalaenopsis will do better than Cattleyas and some others in that situation.

The greenhouse looks wonderful and so inviting! I bet your plants love it!!
Sorry, folks, I have been away and then guests. A very busy time as our Boston friends came here to escape the weather and we have been taking them touring.
