I have finally made it to Phoenix and have most.... well, many.... boxes unpacked. And I have only fallen off the plant-buying wagon briefly (until fall when the floodgates open!).

My problem is that I fell off with Aeoniums, which appear to be a leetle bit tricky when it comes to watering, dormancy, etc. And, of course, the big, beautiful one I got is unidentified. I'll bug ya'll when I have time to get pics, but for now

Hurray! HI!!! Big Grin

My aeoniums are preparing for their dormancy I think..starting to shed older outer leaves and returning gradually to an all green color so only the older leaves have the burgundy color Smiling

Oh, but Tarev - I'm finding some Aeoniums require exact opposite treatment (*sigh) = some like the winter water and some the summer. For instance, supposedly "Swartkopf" (sp?) is a summer water plant.

I am so confused. Lets see what I kill this summer, shall we?

Sheryl,
Welcome to my world. For every plant I grow, 3 lost their lives. I think we all have that kind of luck. I do know some who really do seem to have a green thumb. Mine are just normal.

Oh lord, I've lost so many plants. I tell myself it is a learning curve but I seem to be a very slow learner with some types of plants. and... I can't grow from seed for anything. I try, over and over, but something always happens.
