I don't have this cultivar (though it looks like one I need to have!). Instead, I have a child hybrid that I grew from seed in Fall 2009. The parentage was labeled Trahlyta x Chocolate Ripples. (I obtained the seed from Sandi - seedsower.) It has short scapes (which surprised me), mine currently only has maybe 4-5 buds - that are nicely spaced out - per branch on each scape, scapes have 3-5 branches, produced several scapes in the current clump, and has some of the best (rust-resistant) foliage of any daylily in my yard. Because of the beautiful blooms and great foliage, it will be staying in my yard! I may cross it with a taller scaped, rust-resistant cultivar this year. It also multiplies better than most of mine. Because of the shorter scape, it would be a great "front of the garden bed" cultivar to use.
I am waiting for it to multiply more, as I would like to divide it and transplant it to my front garden bed border. I'd like to do a whole row of this plant, with another cultivar right behind it that blooms at a different time. The foliage really makes me happy!
Foliage:
Bloom (that looks a lot like Trahlyta - the pod parent). I love the heart-shaped throat pattern.:
