Dominic is a good all-around dark daylily. I keep it in partial shade with maybe 4-5 hours of filtered sunlight daily. This seems to improve the color which I describe as a dark, blackish burgundy with yellow throat surrounded by a stronger blackish halo. It is well worth its keep in the garden, and I rate it with high performance marks for growth, bloom, health and increase. We have some excellent photo illustrations shown in this thread, as well as on the database page. Over all I rate it a very good cultivar, and certainly a 'keeper'.
