Carol - there are a few different temperature ranges for the cold weather outlets but this is the brand that I have.

I have the one that goes on at 20 and off at 30. Just plug in a light socket and screw in a 60 watt lightbulb. Obviously, you'd have to connect to a power source with this one. You can also get them for warm weather as well. I think there's even a type that can be switched manually between cold weather and warm weather.
