This Salvia was quite a surprise to me because it has such unusual foliage. It's very firm, and shiney leaves just didn't seem Salvia like. It's lovely against the dark ground where it's planted as a companion plant to Rosa 'Old Port' that has similar foliage and flower colors. It's been in the garden for about one year bloomed fairly well and just finished blooming with the first December frost. I will get a few more to join this one when the opertunity presents itself. 🎄 I tip my hat to you.
