Sharon said:Thanks Terri, it's always so good to hear from you.
And after the storms of last night, here we are again with rivers running through my back yard. The entire sloping yard is rushing downhill then splitting before it gets to the deck just like any other happy little creek, then weaving its way around the bald cypress and the persimmon, the red bud and the too big Japanese maple on each side of my home. Through the foggy morning the rain still comes, sometimes gentle but mostly pounding but without the noisy storms of last night. Sunshine is buried in the pillows of my daughter's bed and Daisy cat is wedged between the chair back and me. If I move she'll either pop up like burnt toast or she'll slide down farther behind me. So all this water is the talk of the town, that and the Tennessee river that flows just about a mile from my house, on its way to the Ohio and on to the Mississippi, a scant few miles west of me. And it's as dark as night now just before noon.
And yes, uncommonly warm.
Happy New Year, Terri. Thank you once more!
