The leaf edge on my mystery are too irregularly toothed for Vigethia. The flowers also bloom all the way up the stalk. I did manage to pilfer a seed head but it hasn't help me in an ID yet. Cowpen Daisy (Ximenesia encelioides) is out. It has notched petals. I'll keep looking and leave this thread open for a little longer. I tip my hat to you.
