I think Houki will be fine, but Kirinmaru and Kopper Kettle have been mulched with pine straw for tonight's freezing temps.
Every year some of the new peonies put up stems in the middle of winter, and those stems wind up getting frozen and then die. I going to try to protect them this winter with styrofoam covers.
