(I just realized how much this thread has deviated, LoL! Oh well! "It's my thread and I'll do what I want to, do what I want to...."....now sing that in your head to 'It's my Party', hehehe! Okay, enough joking around now...)
I wouldn't trim back the firespikes yet, either. I know you're not up here in the 'winter void' of the north, but my thought is that anything blooming this time of year is a good thing! (Except dandelions....that actually happened in my yard a week or two ago--crazy!)
I like the name "Dwarf Autograph Plant," it sounds so official! Dwarf Clusia is easier to say, though. If you get some free time, maybe you could add the database info and a couple of pictures and snag yourself some acorns for the next NARR.
I don't know about you, but as soon as seed swapping season is over for me, I'm going to be waiting in eager anticipation for the next one!
On the bulbine frutescens in the ATP database, several have an orange color, or atleast an orange-yellow blend. I find it a very attractive color! When you originally mentioned it in your other post, I assumed yours must be the yellow variety since that seemed more common in the photos, so I didn't really say anything; but the orange is so pretty!
