I do like them taller and have minimum height requirements. However, I do grow them in large containers which elevates the blooms along with the plant another 2'. I've been leery of the really tall, tall ones. I doubt most plants will reach registered heights under my growing conditions, but the daylilies are managing that feat a lot better than tall bearded iris do. Iris aren't container grown here very much. Some of them object to that situation for some reason.
