I'm not sure Maryl, but I grew 'My Soul Surrendered' which I received as a bonus. It didn't bloom blotchy and did really well. I gave it to my brother-in-law in Houston and I'm curious as to how it will do for him in the wetter, more humid climate. I expect my climate is a lot like yours - hot, dry and windy. I've had a lot of the purples blotch, especially on the first blooms, but this one didn't. I liked it a lot and was really tempted to keep it. If it does well in it's new home I can get some back easily enough, I think. Anyway, here's a photo from this year. I'm sure you're going to get lots of other suggestions.
