Hello everyone,

If I were limited to having and using just one garden tool (perish the thought) this 7-inch Rogue field hoe from Prohoe Tools would be it.

But, don't take my word for it. Read the reviews at Amazon.

This tool is versatile. For tiny weeds just coming up, you can skim the surface and shave them off. I have never encountered a weed too big for this tool, including Lambs Quarters, Horse Tails, and Giant Ragweeds several feet taller than me. And, yes, 1-inch sapling trees can be chopped off at ground level in a single mighty stroke.

The blade is much thicker than most garden hoes, and has good metallurgy to take and keep a keen edge. I use a diamond sharpening stone to approach razor sharpness with mine. This hoe is available in handle lengths from 42 to 60 inches, in wood or fiberglass. When I purchased mine (many years ago) all they had was 60-inch wooden handles. I may purchase a spare with a fiberglass handle now that they are available. Prohoe also makes many garden tools in several styles. As time goes on I may collect a few, but this 7-inch field hoe is my hands-down favorite.

ZM
I tip my hat to you.
