Peat Moss is produced from Peat bogs. The best, if you use Peat Moss is the Horticulture bales which have very long threads. Most of the Peat Moss sold in local nurseries or box stores is the fine powdery type.
Peat moss is not a good product to use with Adeniums.

Sphagnum Peat is usually in most cases a grayish white moss that is dry when sold and very long fibers. Hold a tremendous amount of water.
