This was one of my favorite plants when we lived in Socorro, NM during the 1980's. It was gorgeous in all seasons. We sold the house, and the new owners seemed happy that we had free well water for all of the outdoor plants. Unfortunately they never used it. I went by a year later and the tree and the rest of the landscaping was all gone. Sad it really hurts to have to leave nice plants and later find them dead. My husband says we should never go by our old homes! I think he's right.
