there's a guy in the park, i'm assuming it's a guy... but this person bought a hosta last summer and it just sat in the nursery pot all year. at the end of the season, end of Sept or Oct, i actually thought to plant it, just so it wouldnt die.... low and behold, when we walked past this afternoon... there it was -- 2 eyes up and looking good.
