Background history:

'Patchwork Puzzle' is a dormant tetraploid introduced in 1990 by Elizabeth Salter. Jeff and Elizabeth Salter hybridize at Rollingwood Garden in Gainesville, Florida.

Patchwork Puzzle is an early to mid-season bloomer with possible rebloom. It shows a rust resistance rating of 1.3. It has earned the following AHS awards: Honorable Mention: 1994, DFM: 1995, Award of Merit: 1998, and FS: 1998.
