I found thalictrums only two or three years ago - they do seem to be overlooked by gardeners, but once you've seen some of them up close and personal, you can get hooked. I first saw them in a friend's garden. Out of all the wonderful plants in their shade garden, it was the height and delicate flowers of the thalictrums in bloom that caught my attention. Been adding them to my gardens ever since. In my quest for thalictrums, I found this shorter ground hugging cultivar that blooms almost non stop for months. It is a nice one - 'Evening Star Strain'.
