Did the ground swallow up your tag (or did the animals haul it away)?
Did the grandkids have fun in the garden with those little "ant headstones"?
Was somebody sharing an un-named hosta you just couldn't do without?
Tags old and fadded (you need a better method, too)?

We suggest you first try the Hosta Library if you think you know what it might be, and check again after someone gives you a guess as to which of thousands of hostas yours might be.
