From the brief experience I had with them. Depending on the variety, some wakes up early, some don't. Some grow faster like a foot a year taller some don't.
If you can keep them in small sized containers, maybe it will hold down their growth a bit, but to be honest they are trees..so it will grow as much as it can.

Hey, you can always sell good seedlings later..a nice side business Big Grin But pretty sure you would like to see first the blooms of your labor. Smiling
