My Neighbor has a Hosta plant sale and sells all Undulata albomarginata -- she had them with 2-4 eyes and marked at $4.00... I am like you... I'd give them away -- that is actually how I got started in Hosta's....
A friend was splitting some up....Undulata albomarginata... she had 10 HUGE one's (hadn't been split for 5-7 years -- she couldn't remember) so she kept 2 to divide and replant and gave me 8 HUGE hosta. I was in heaven...
... the kids dug holes all around the front yard (it is completely shaded and I was needing an excuse not to mow it) -- 32 holes to be exact...
I divided the 8 hosta's into quarters and planted 32 hosta's.... thus began the obsession. I have since expanded to take over about 60% of the front yard, west side of the house, around the pump house and shed, by the pole shed and down by the barn -- LOL!!!!
