You can also find wire orchid hangers c/w hooks in the orchid section at the big box stores. They come in a plastic bag of 2, a long one and a short one for under $3 if my memory serves. You'd have to have a way to make holes in the edge of a pot to put the wire through, not a problem with plastic pots, but with clay it takes a drill.
(orchid pots and baskets have holes, and hanging loops already)
