The problem I'm seeing is that most sites list Pink Trumpet Tree or Pink Lapacho as common names of Handroanthus impetiginosus, although some also call it Lavender Trumpet Tree or Purple Trumpet Tree.

As for the pink blooms on that page, I have trouble distinguishing the pink ones from the rest (they all look pink to me), but I can see that the "pinkest" one, the first of the photos uploaded by robertduval14, is on the Wikipedia page for Handroanthus impetiginosus, so I would hesitate to move it.

Is there another way of distinguishing one species from the other? Should this discussion be moved to the Plant ID Forum? We have no photos of Tabebuia heterophylla in our database, and the Google images of the blooms look very much like the Google images of the Handroanthus impetiginosus blooms. I'm failing to see obvious differences.
