When I re-enabled ads, "auto-jump to the first unread post" started jumping to the wrong place. For example, it would jump 1/3rd of the way down a long thread that I had read all but 2 posts of.

Hi Dave

I turned ads back off, and "auto-jump to the first unread post" went right back to working correctly.

HOWEVER, I never actually saw any ads, just a warning from my browser that something was not configured to Google's satisfaction.
(I've seen that warning on other websites and it's also possible that IT at work has their finger in the pie.)

Might some of that have interfered unexpectedly with the operation of "auto-jump"?

This has very low priority for me. I wouldn't urge you to spend any time on it unless you're curious.

I was mainly curious about how the screen layout would look with ads on, in an extra-wide monitor that I don't usually use to view ATP.
I've turned ads back off and everything is working fine as usual on your websites.

If you are curious, I'd be happy to try different things to try to narrow down the quirk, such as get a screenshot of the Google warning.
I'm not sure the warning was always displayed when I had ads enabled.

P.S. That "auto-jump to first unread post" feature may seem trivial to you, but it is GREATLY appreciated. Sometimes small things are very very nice.
