It does look like Lucky Star.

From Joan Wright New Zealand mid 1960’s. Eeen geurende grootbloemige.

G.callianthus Murialea (Acidanthera) X Grootbloemige hybrid X G.callianthus Murialea (Acidanthera).

From this old hybride we made a virusfree selection.

This variety speaks to the imagination of many hybridizers and gardenlovers.

From that, it appears a cross had been made with Gladiolus murielae and (Grootbloemige hybrid x Gladiolus murielae).

Grootbloemige doesn't translate, but it sounds like a great (large) blooming (flowering) hybrid.

@bonitin might be able to verify this.
